Hospital sued for medical malpractice

A hospital in New Orleans has been sued following the death of an 80-year-old woman. The woman’s children on behalf of the deceased have filed the suit. The suit alleges that the victim had a history of behavioral problems as well as a variety of other medical diagnoses when admitted to the hospital in August 2012. Her mental problems included depression and dementia. When she began to suffer from sores and diarrhea, the victim was admitted to the hospital.
