Attorney David Bowling used to represent hospitals in the New Orleans area, defending them against medical malpractice claims and premises liability claims.

After Hurricane Katrina, he switched to representing individual people: patients, their families and other victims of severe personal injury.

That’s when The Bowling Law Firm took on the mission it has today. It’s a firm dedicated to helping everyday people in Louisiana and Mississippi when you experience life-altering injuries.

Earlier, David was part of another firm, Friend, Wilson, Draper & Bowling. After that firm dissolved in 1994, he received invitations to join several large regional law firms. He declined those job offers.

Instead, David and attorney Gordon Wilson, Jr., decided a smaller firm could best provide clients with legal representation tailored to their needs. They started Wilson & Bowling in New Orleans.

The same values continue at The Bowling Law Firm: individual care, attention and ardent representation for every client.

In 1998, David Bowling obtained his license to practice law in Mississippi in addition to Louisiana, and the firm opened a statewide practice in Mississippi, with an office in Gulfport (by appointment only).

Gordon Wilson retired in 2008.

Throughout what is now more than a 36-year career in trial work, David Bowling has handled numerous complex cases involving medical malpractice, life-threatening personal injury, maritime and other civil litigation.
