Alexis Jani is an attorney with over 15 years of experience in the civil litigation of medical malpractice, pharmacy errors, premises liability, personal injury and general liability matters.

She is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana and the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

Alexis joined The Bowling Law Firm in 2024, bringing with her a commitment to helping people in need and a deep passion for volunteerism.

In 2009, she earned her Juris Doctor from the Tulane University Law School in New Orleans.

In law school, she argued on the Moot Court in 2007 and was awarded a position on the Moot Court Board in 2008. She was on the editorial board of the Tulane Journal of Law and Sexuality.

She also clerked at the Civil District Court for Orleans Parish. She worked for the Tulane Law School Domestic Violence Clinic and the Juvenile Law Clinic.

She won a Pro Bono Award for her volunteerism at the Pro Bono Project providing legal services for those in need. She also worked at the New Orleans Legal Aid Corporation helping victims of domestic violence.

Alexis earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in 2006.

While working on her undergraduate degree, she was a member of APO service fraternity. She volunteered religiously with Moveable Feast, an organization providing home-cooked meals for those living with HIV and AIDS in Baltimore.

During her time at Johns Hopkins, she also was committed to expanding education access and education policy. She taught kindergarten with the Center for Summer Learning. She testified in front of the Maryland State Legislature about her experience teaching summer school and the great effects of summer learning loss. She interned at the ACLU of Maryland in the education department.

Alexis was born in Hartford, Conn., and raised in Princeton, N.J.
